The proven SIMOTICS GP are optimized for line operation, and are available with efficiency classes up to IE4.
All motors have the same power-shaft height assignment. As a consequence, there are no shaft height differences, making it easy to service or replace motors.
Due to the same power-shaft height assignment across all efficiency classes, migration to more efficient motors is very easy. Grid-optimized motors can be also operated with converters.
Converter-Optimized Motors (Variable Speed Drive Motors)
The SIMOTICS GP VSD motors are based on the platform of the SIMOTICS GP motor series.
The design corresponds to the line motors – the mechanical parts are identical.
The motors are adapted to the converter by appropriately dimensioning the active part and VSD-specific rating plate data.
In addition, a large number of the variations available for the line motors (types of construction, motor protection, terminal box position, and options) are also available for the VSD motors.
- Converter-Optimized Asynchronous Motor (VSD10)
This investment-optimized system comprising a SIMOTICS GP VSD10 motor and a SINAMICS converter permits simple selection via a catalog or engineering tool, along with fast commissioning based on a data matrix code for predefined converter parameters. Optimum matching of the motors to operational conditions on the converter results in lower system losses and thus high energy efficiency. - Converter-Optimized Synchronous Reluctance Motor (VSD4000)
For particularly energy-efficient operation, the best choice is a system comprising a SIMOTICS reluctance motor and a SINAMICS converter. The reluctance technology ensures particularly high dynamic performance and high efficiencies even in the partial load range, as well as high process quality.
